G.I. Jobs Magazine Names Blackstone as a Military Friendly School for 2010
August 2009: Blackstone Career Institute was recently selected by G.I. Jobs Magazine as a Military Friendly School for 2010 in honor of the school’s efforts to support military students and their families. After conducting extensive research and gathering survey data, the military magazine ranked BCI in the top fifteen percent of all colleges, universities, and trade schools nationwide. G.I. Jobs recognized our interest in recruiting military students and encouraged BCI to continue and expand upon existing policies and efforts used to obtain and retain military and veteran students.
Many of our students are from military families and find that our training programs can easily travel with them through deployments and relocations in the U.S. and overseas. Blackstone is a participant in several programs that benefit military personnel and their family members, including the Army Vocational/Technical (AVOTEC) Soldier Program, Operation Life Transformed (OLT), DANTES (Defense Activity for Nontraditional Educational Support), and the Military Spouse Career Advancement Initiative program. For more information about these programs, visit our Military Education page.
