Where can I expect to find a job as a Medical Office Assistant?

Healthcare employment opportunities for medical office assistants offers a wide range of opportunities. As a medical office assistant, you can choose from jobs in a large or small medical practice, clinic, medical laboratory, or hospital. Some choose to work in offices of other health professionals, such as chiropractors and podiatrists. Other establishments that seek medical office assistants include outpatient care centers, public and private educational services, ambulatory healthcare services, state and local government agencies, diagnostic laboratories, and nursing care facilities.

The increasing number of patients and hospital admissions explains why medical assistant jobs are on the rise. Service-oriented positions in the medical field continue to provide about half of the employment opportunities in the United States. Rapid growth in the number of group practices, clinics, and other healthcare facilities will result in an increasing need for support staff, such as educated medical office assistants, to provide quality care for the rising number of patients. Begin your journey toward a rewarding medical office assistant salary by enhancing your education with Blackstone Career Institute.
