Announcing Changes to the Online Paralegal Program to Lower Tuition Costs
January 2025: Blackstone Career Institute recently reduced the tuition cost for the online Legal Assistant/Paralegal Program. Based on feedback received from prospective students and the current economy, BCI removed the certification exam prep material and voucher from the program. Blackstone’s certification aligned program qualifies graduates to sit for NALA’s Certified Paralegal (CP®) Exam.
The paralegal program update was consistent with Blackstone’s mission of “providing quality, relevant and affordable distance education programs that focus on the knowledge and skills needed for entry-level careers, professional development or personal goals.” Blackstone aims to make quality education accessible to all through affordable payment options.
As of January 10th, 2025, students can now enroll in the online Legal Assistant/Paralegal Program for as little as $59 down and $59 a month payment (total tuition cost of $1,442). Students may also opt to save $144 and enroll for $59 down and $79 a month payment (total tuition cost of $1,298). Or students can pay in full and save $228 on tuition (total tuition cost of $1,214).

New paralegal students can now access the same quality, certification aligned curriculum at a lower price due to the removal of the certification bundle. The online Legal Assistant/Paralegal Program is designed to prepare students for entry-level work.
The curriculum includes an extensive 14-volume (E-book) set, Blackstone Law Glossary (E-book), and four months of access to the Lexis+® database for legal research. There are 31 exams and seven assignments in the program.
The program contains 915 clock hours which qualifies graduates to sit for the Certified Paralegal (CP®) Exam given by NALA. New students have the option to pursue certification or enter the workforce immediately.
The NALA Certification Bundle is available for $998.00 in the Blackstone bookstore for those interested in additional preparation for CP® certification. Certification is not a requirement to work in the field, but it can increase one’s earning potential.
