Blackstone Courses Available on Edovo

Blackstone’s Skills for Success

This course helps individuals identify their unique learning style and develop strategies to study effectively. It offers a valuable foundation for anyone preparing to pursue additional education or training.

Criminal Procedure

This course offers a general introduction to criminal law and the criminal justice system. It can help  individuals gain insight to better understand the system and explore the possibility of further legal training.

Both courses are now accessible at no cost to incarcerated individuals through the Edovo Learn platform.

About Edovo

Edovo is a mission-driven non-profit organization that works with correctional facilities and partners to deliver free rehabilitative, vocational, and educational programming. Their secure in-facility tablets reach over 1,250 correctional institutions across the United States. We are delighted to partner with them and continue in our mission of changing lives through education.

To date, learners have completed more than 100 million hours of coursework on the Edovo platform, proving an enormous opportunity for self-improvement among the incarcerated population.

Our Partnership

We’re proud to partner with organizations like Edovo that share our commitment to rehabilitation, reentry, and lifelong learning. And we’re excited to be a content partner to contribute to their growing library of educational and vocational materials.

Bridging the Gap

Education opens doors to opportunities, from career advancement and financial stability to a more hopeful future. Beyond job readiness, education fosters a sense of purpose, personal agency, and a commitment to change—factors that contribute to healthier reintegration and stronger communities.

These are important components for successful reentry, reduced recidivism, and self-sufficiency. For many incarcerated individuals, prison education offers a chance to rewrite their story.

In contrast to these two free courses (Skills for Success and Criminal Procedure) available through Edovo, Blackstone offers a correspondence Legal Assistant/Paralegal certificate program—with payment options and sponsor support.

This partnership helps close the opportunity gap for incarcerated learners who may not have the financial means to pay for educational content while inside.
